2-WEEK SUMMER CAMP IN THE SOUTH BAY

 

Want to fly drones for money? Get your commercial drone pilot license at Sling Pilot Academy this Summer! In this 2-week camp you’ll progress from basic drones up to multiple pro level DJI drones, as well as fly in an FAA approved simulator, and in a real Sling NGT aircraft.

  • June 19 – June 30, 2023, Monday to Friday, Morning Sessions – 8AM to 12PM
  • June 19 – June 30, 2023, Monday to Friday, Afternoon Sessions – 1PM to 5PM
  • July 10 – July 21, 2023, Monday to Friday, Morning Sessions – 8AM to 12PM
  • July 10 – July 21, 2023, Monday to Friday, Afternoon Sessions – 1PM to 5PM

  • Pilot Logbook
  • 3.5 hours logged time towards your pilots license (minimum 40 hours)
    • 1 hour flying in an actual Sling 2 aircraft with a certified flight instructor
    • 1.25 hours in a full motion Redbird Sim (AATD) with a certified flight instructor
    • 1.25 hours in a basic Redbird Sim (BATD) with a certified flight instructor
  • Additional Sim time on an X-Plane and Virtual Reality Sims to hone skills prior to flying
  • Application with FAA for a student pilot certificate
  • Minimum of 15 hours ground school – logged in your Pilot Logbook
  • In Person Ground School to include:
    • FAA Part 107 Regulations
    • Aerodynamics
    • Sectional Charts
    • Airspace

Note: The Summer School is heavily subsidized by a $500,000 FAA Aviation Workforce Development Grant that was awarded to Sling Pilot Academy to introduce students to the world of aviation.
