International Students – Commercial / Airline Pilot Training

Sling Pilot Academy is pleased to offer FAA Part 141 flight training to International Students.  Through our location in San Diego, CA (KSEE) we are able to issue I-20’s to International Students in order to obtain M-1 Student Visas.

Full-time Course

Our International Courses are full-time programs, 5-days a week, designed to help you reach your aviation goal of being a Commercial / Airline Pilot.

The International Courses we offer are:

  • Private Pilot Course (M1 Visa)
  • Instrument Pilot Course (M1 Visa)
  • Commercial Pilot SEL Course (M1 Visa)
  • Commercial Pilot MEL Course (M1 Visa)
  • Flight Instructor CFI Course (M1 Visa)

** While these timelines can be achieved with full time commitment, dedication and hard work, this fast-paced accelerated course is not for everyone. External factors such as bad weather and examiner availability can cause delays. A student’s natural ability, ability to assimilate new knowledge quickly and meet study goals can impact the duration of training. While we don’t guarantee any course completion time, our entire team is dedicated to your success and safe completion of the course within the time frame.

Note: Many flight schools out there quote BARE MINIMUM FAA time to achieve ratings. Once you’re enrolled you learn than almost no-one finishes at the FAA minimums and you are in for a surprise with extra hours and fees required. We don’t do that. We quote more realistic times to achieve ratings and then we work hard to help Students finish on time and on budget. Our school and about 20% less than other competitors!

Flight Time (Full 9-Month Course Starting from Zero):

Flight Time (6-Month Course Starting from at least Private and 80hrs):

Single Engine up to 120 hours
Multi Engine up to 30 hours
AATD Simulator Time up to 50 hours*

*Unlimited BATD Simulator Solo/Mentor time

Note: If student goes over the maximum included course hours listed above, additional hours will be charged at regular hourly aircraft/instructor rates.

Our Airplanes

Sling NGT

  • The Sling’s flying characteristics make for a perfectly coordinated, highly responsive control setup. This gives her the distinct qualities of a fighter jet aircraft, while not being overly sensitive.
  • The Sliding Bubble Canopy offers great visibility and cool taxiing in summer. The wide cockpit, excellent all around view and substantial luggage capacity make the Sling a very comfortable, yet versatile aircraft.
  • The Sling’s airframe strength and durability means that she won’t break and stands up to the rigors of flight training. Its aluminum construction makes for ease and consistency of construction, while offering proven strength and a longer lifespan than some of our composite rivals.
  • The Sling’s performance matches and outdoes almost every aircraft in its class, while being highly economical and fun to fly.

 

Tecnam P2006T Twin

  • The Tecnam is a multi-engine, Rotax powered plane with modern & sleek Garmin G1000 avionics.
  • It has 2 Rotax engines so there’s no mixture controls in the cockpit because the carburetors are altitude compensating.
  • The Tecnam has retractable gear & flaps and constant speed props. Overall, it’s a pretty docile flying airplane, it’s comfortable & roomy, and handles really nicely.
